This page sets out what the Celestro website collects, why, who else handles it, and how to have it corrected or deleted. It describes the website as it is built today, and it covers this website only.
Who we are
Celestro is a technology studio that works with businesses in India. This website is ours, and we decide how the details collected through it are used.
For anything about your data, write to hello@celestro.co.in or call +91 89287 85306.
What you send us
The only personal details we collect are the ones you type into the contact form:
- your name
- your business name, if you give one
- an email address or a phone number, whichever you choose
- the services you tick
- your message, if you write one
We add the date and time your enquiry arrived, and a reference number.
We use these details to reply to you and to talk about the work you asked about. We do not sell them and we do not pass them to advertisers.
If you give an email address, you receive one automatic email confirming that your enquiry arrived. It repeats nothing you typed.
What happens automatically
Your IP address. Any server you contact sees the address your connection comes from. When you send the form, ours uses it for one thing: to limit how many enquiries a single connection can send in a short time, currently five in ten minutes. That count is kept in our database for that time. It is kept against a scrambled form of the address, not the address itself, and is then cleared.
The spam check. The contact form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile. As the form comes into view, your browser loads the check from Cloudflare, which receives your IP address and technical details of your browser and device, to tell people from automated senders. Cloudflare may keep cookies or similar storage of its own for this. When you send the form, the result goes to our server, which confirms it with Cloudflare and passes your IP address along with it.
Typefaces. The fonts on this site come from Google Fonts, so your browser asks Google’s servers for them. Google receives your IP address and details of your browser when it does.
Hosting. The company that hosts this site delivers these pages to your browser. To do that it handles your IP address and details of your browser, as any web host does.
Cookies and your device
This site sets no cookies of its own.
It can keep two small notes in your browser’s local storage: your choice of light or dark theme, if you use the switch, and the fact that you closed the privacy notice. Both stay on your device and are not sent to us. Clearing this site’s data in your browser removes them.
The Cloudflare spam check described above may use cookies or storage of its own.
Analytics
We do not count or follow visits to this site. There is no analytics tool, advertising tracker or social media pixel on it.
Who handles it for us
We use a small number of companies to run the site. Each receives only what it needs for its part.
- Neon
- The database. Enquiries, and the short-lived count described above, are stored in a PostgreSQL database run by Neon, which is part of Databricks, on servers in Singapore. The privacy notice that covers Neon
- Resend
- Email delivery. Resend sends two messages for each enquiry: a notification, with your enquiry in it, to our own inbox, and the confirmation to you if you gave an email address. Resend’s privacy policy
- Cloudflare
- The spam check on the contact form, as described above. Cloudflare’s privacy policy
- The typefaces, as described above. Google’s privacy policy
The notification stays in our own email inbox. Some of these companies handle data outside India.
How long we keep it
Your enquiry stays in our database and in our inbox until we delete it. We have not set a period after which enquiries are deleted automatically. If you want yours deleted, ask us and we will delete it.
The count used to limit repeated enquiries stops after ten minutes and is cleared the next time the form is used. Where the companies named above keep records of their own, their policies apply to those.
Your choices
You can ask us at any time:
- what details of yours we hold
- to correct them
- to delete them
Write to hello@celestro.co.in from the address you used, or tell us the phone number you gave, so that we can find your enquiry. We will answer and act on your request as soon as we reasonably can.
How it is protected
Your enquiry travels from your browser to our server, and from our server to the database and the email service, over encrypted connections. Our server checks every enquiry before saving it, limits how many one connection can send, and uses the spam check to keep automated senders out. The part of our system that receives the form can add an enquiry to the database but cannot read one back.
No system is perfectly secure. We keep what we collect small, so that there is less to protect.
Changes to this page
If we change how the site handles your data, we will update this page and the date at the top.
